Developed a National Renewable Energy Action Plan for Bahrain with indication of renewable energy targets, policies, projects, estimation of levelized cost of electricity, business models, institutional arrangement, and implementation schemes. Co-designed a National Energy Efficiency Action Plan for Bahrain, including energy efficiency policies and measures and estimation of high level budget requirements.

Developed AFEX, a policy assessment and benchmarking tool that provides a comprehensive assessment of the current state of renewable energy and energy efficiency development in the Arab region. Undertook gap analysis of MENA countries to identify institutional, policy, regulatory, pricing, financing, communication and awareness raising barriers and indicators to scaling-up energy efficiency. Estimated energy demand projections for 2020 and 2025; identified areas with the greatest energy efficiency potential; and identified priority sectors for tapping energy efficiency potential.
